How many musicians perform with The Big Swing?
The full band is 11 musicians comprising of 4 saxes, 2 trumpets, 2 trombones, piano, bass and drums.
Also available as a 7 piece band (2 saxes, 2 brass, rhythm) or as a jazz trio.
Do you perform with singers?
Yes we do. The Big Swing offer a variety of singers and size of band to suit different venues and events. Please call or email for further details.
What style of music do you play?
The Big Swing play many of the popular numbers from the great swing era very much in the style of a Las Vegas ratpack show. A sample list of tunes and sound clips can be found on our Music page.
What size stage area does the band need?
Typically the full band requires an area 8m x 8m but may also fit an area approximately 8m x 5m in a more conventional band setup. The 7 piece and jazz trio may be more suitable for smaller venues.
